As the handsome Nicholas Newman on CBS’s “The Young and the Restless” Joshua Morrow is used to being surrounded by beautiful woman.
At home, however it’s a brood of boys.
Joshua and his wife, Tobe, are proud parents to son’s Cooper, 10; Crew, 7; and Cash, 4. Now finally, the family is adding a girl to the mix, as the couple is expecting their fourth child in less than three weeks.
Although Joshua freely admits the addition wasn’t exactly planned.
“This was a total surprise for us. I, in particular, was done,” he admitted when I spoke with him backstage at Y&R during my guest appearance on the show as a gossip reporter. “My wife was really scared it was going to be another boy. She got her dream and a little girl will be here very soon. So it was meant to be.”
While the two older boys are excited to meet their little sister, Joshua says his younger son isn’t quite as thrilled.
“He is already starting to see his toys being moved to different parts of the house,” he laughed. “He is starting to make his own rules about where the baby can and can’t go in the house. When it gets its bath or where it sits at the dinner table has been a very big topic so Cashy Boy will pretty much decide this all for us.”
Cash has, at least, made an attempt to give his little sister a name – Princess Pickle!
Although Joshua swears his little princess won’t be dressing like one.
“My lifestyle, I asked my wife… all we do is wear baller shorts and like flat brims. I have no idea how to dress a girl! I don’t know do the hair and the barrettes,” he said. “My wife is convinced it’s a sea of pink and dance classes in her future, but I still think she is going to be a tough as nails little chick!”
This was my third time visiting the Y&R set to play a gossip reporter and second time working with Joshua. This time, I got to be really mean and snarky to him which was a blast to play! The episode will air during November sweeps.
Princess Pickle makes her debut to the world soon! Congrats to the Morrow family!
