“Hunger Games” actress Willow Shields, and her partner, Mark Ballas, were eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday – shocking the actress and fans!
Access Hollywood spoke to the 14-year-old and her partner after the show.
“Once I knew Chris [Soules] and Witney [Carson] were safe, I knew I was going home, it was a bit of a shocker,” Willow told Access.

“I had such an incredible night doing the ninja routine [with Mark],” she continued. “It’s hard to have had happen.”
The young star wanted more time in the “DWTS” ballroom.
“It was shocking. I got really upset… the only reason I got upset is because I’ve loved my experience and didn’t’ really want it to end,” she said of her emotions on Monday.

Adding, “It happens though, it’s not the end of the world.”
Her partner praised Willow for her improvements over the course of the competition.
“I told her, ‘Keep your chin up, you’ll be alright,'” Mark told Access. “I’m so wildly, insanely proud of her… I’m so happy to make a new friend and put out some of my best work yet. I love watching how much she can inspire younger kids and to be a role model to young boys and girls.”

On Tuesday, “Dancing with the Stars'” “10th Anniversary Special” will air from 8-9 PM ET/PT on ABC. The competition continues next Monday at 8/7c, and there will be a double elimination next week.
