James Corden will make his “Late Late Show” debut on Monday, but who exactly is the comedian?

He’s Royalty
Well, sort of. The 36-year-old funny man was recently bestowed with the honor of Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II.

He Can Carry A Tune
James starred as the baker alongside the likes of Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and Emily Blunt in “Into the Woods.” He sang the song “No One Is Alone” with Anna Kendrick in the film.
He’s Got A Tony
James won the Tony Award in 2012 for Best Leading Actor in a Play for his role in “One Man, Two Guvnors.” Before bringing the play to Broadway, he starred in it in the National Theatre and the West End in London. He previously starred in “The History Boys,” according to the biography posted on the “Late Late Show’s” website.

He’s Got Comedy Chops
James co-created, co-wrote and starred in the BBC series “Gavin and Stacey.” He won the BAFTA Television Award for Best Male Comedy Performance in 2008 and the British Comedy Award for Best Male Comedy Performer in 2007 for this role. The show also took home the British Comedy Award for Best TV Comedy in 2008 and the National Television Award for Most Popular Comedy Programme in 2010. Before “Gavin and Stacey,” James starred in “Fat Friends” and had a recurring role on “Doctor Who.”
He’s Got Hosting Experience
James had a long running stint as the host of the Brit Awards from 2010-2014. The annual awards show is the equivalent to the Grammys in the United States.
When James steps on the “Late Late Show” stage for the first time on Monday, March 23 at 12:37 AM/11:37 PM on CBS, his premiere guests will be Tom Hanks and Mila Kunis.
