It’s a girl for Vanessa Carlton and husband John McCauley!
The “A Thousand Miles” singer gave birth to the couple’s daughter on Tuesday.
John, Deer Tick singer/guitarist, shared a photo of himself holding the newborn baby in the delivery room on Tuesday.
“Sid the Kid, whoa!!!” he captioned the cute photo.

Vanessa took to Twitter to confirm the happy news and thank fans for their well-wishes.
“Thanks for all the sweet wishes on our daughter,” the 34-year-old new mom Tweeted. “She’s the quiet observer. We are in for it.”
Vanessa and John got married in December 2013.
One month prior to their wedding, Vanessa announced on Facebook that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy and consequently cancelled her tour dates.
Their wedding was officiated by Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks.
