Lifetime Products CEO Richard David Hendrickson and his daughter, Sally, were killed after a bulldozer fell on their car in a Utah canyon on July 6.
The state’s highway patrol announced the sad news in a press release, identifying Hendrickson, 57, and a 16-year-old as the deceased.
According to the release, a mini bulldozer slid off a tow truck traveling on a right-hand curve in the opposite direction of Hendrickson’s GMC pickup. The bulldozer landed on Hendrickson’s vehicle and both he and the teen were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two more adult passengers were in the GMC at the time of the crash and transported with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
Though police did not release Sally’s name, Lifetime Products issued a statement confirming that she died along with her father and that the other riders included Hendrickson’s wife and two of their other children.
Per the company, another of the family’s daughters was “traveling overseas” and not involved in the crash.
Utah governor Spencer Cox mourned the loss in a social media post, calling Hendrickson “a friend and incredible leader.”
“We are heartbroken by his tragic passing with his daughter Sally. We mourn with the surviving members of his family and pray they will find comfort and healing,” the message continued.
