Casey Aldridge, Jamie Lynn Spears’ boyfriend and father of her daughter, has been moved out of the intensive care unit at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the 19-year-old’s uncle told Access Hollywood.
Odus Jackson, Aldridge’s uncle, said Casey is already out of bed too.
“The room therapist has been walking him,” Jackson told Access.
Aldridge may also be released from the medical facility very soon, according to his relative.
“He should be out of the hospital in a couple of days if everything stays as it is,” Jackson told Access. “All the scans look good.”
On Monday, an aunt of Aldridge’s told Access, he had not had surgery, while an uncle revealed the teen was “in stable condition,” adding, “He’ll be OK!”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Aldridge was ejected from his 6,000-pound truck around 1:30 AM on Sunday, after the vehicle flipped over. Two passengers in the car were also thrown from the vehicle, while two others remained inside the truck as it flipped.
Aldridge, who was driving the truck, is believed to be suffering from a cracked skull.
“[They are] lucky to be alive,” Louisiana State Trooper Mark Dennis told Access.
Dennis confirmed the accident occurred 98 miles away from the hospital on Highway 606 at Lake Bruin in Louisiana. Skid marks and a dead armadillo appeared to be the only evidence of the crash.
Aldridge was not wearing a seatbelt during the incident.
When state troopers arrived at the scene, Aldridge had already been transported to the hospital. It is believed all five men in the vehicle had been to a bachelor party, and afterwards drove to the remote lake area to go crabbing.
Aldridge, who turns 20 in two days, was not given a Breathalyzer test. Dennis told Access there did not appear to be impairment and no reason for an alcohol test.
The teen, however, was ticketed with “careless operation of a motor vehicle,” which is a traffic misdemeanor.
