‘Top Model’s’ ‘Miss J’ Alexander Talks In-Flight Bomb Scare With Really ‘Cute’ Perpetrator

“America’s Next Top Model” runway coach “Miss J” Alexander found himself in the middle of an in-flight bomb scare on Tuesday.

The fashion maven confirmed to Access Hollywood that he was on a Delta flight from Paris to Atlanta, when it was diverted to Bangor, Maine, after a passenger claimed to have explosives in his shoes.

“There was no commotion of any kind. But it was the reactions and looks on the faces of the flight attendants” that tipped him off to the trouble, he explained. “The angst and the fear in their eyes, it was really strange.”

But it wasn’t until the plane’s screens – which said the flight was making a detour to Boston – changed again, that he really began to worry.

“I made my peace with my maker,” he said. “When we hit the ground, I saw the FBI, the ground squad, I thought some s*** seriously just went down on this plane. I realized two people sitting on the aisle across from me had disappeared – they were the U.S. marshals that were on the plane.”

According to The Los Angeles Times, upon landing, four federal air marshals descended on passenger Derek Michael Stansberry, 27, took him to the rear of the plane and covered his boots, backpack and his laptop.

Stansberry is reportedly an Air Force reservist, who was working for a defense contractor in Africa. On Wednesday, he was reportedly charged with making bomb threats and he could receive 20 years in jail if found guilty of interfering with the flight, and five years for pretending to have a bomb.

And according to Miss J – the perpetrator wasn’t hard on the eyes, either.

“He looked really lost and confused,” he said. “I said, ‘Oh my god, he’s so damn cute!’”

However, Miss J added that the situation was deadly serious – and praised the flight crew.

“The guy needs help, I don’t know why he did it. I don’t want to have that experience again, it knocks the wind out of your sails for a moment,” he explained. “You could’ve been a person who actually died that way… [the crew] handled themselves very well, they did an amazing job keeping everybody calm.”

All in all, it was not, he said, a “‘Top Model’ experience.”

“No smizing!” he concluded.
