Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo says reports of him being linked to Britney Spears have been exaggerated.
The quarterback was asked about the reports of him being out on the town with the pop star at the LA restaurant Ketchup and the Hollywood hotspot Les Deux.
Romo said it was a case of two people being in the same place at the same time.
“I wasn’t partying with her, that’s for sure. … It was kind of like, `Hi,‘” Romo told repoters. “She’s a nice girl though,” the quarterback added.
Alli Sims is also commenting on the night Britney and Tony were spotted together.
Sims said the reports of Britney giving Tony a lap dance were false.
“The story is untrue,” says Simms told People. “Tony is a gentleman, and Britney wouldn’t do that, especially to a good friend of mine,” she added.
Sims said Britney and Tony spent most the night talking.
“We were all in a private area upstairs and sat down talking for most of the night, but did get up to dance a little,” Sims told People.
Tony Romo signed a six-year contract extension with The Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday, reportedly worth $67.5 million. Britney Spears released her latest album, “Blackout” on Tuesday, to surprisingly rave reviews.
