Tom Sizemore Sentenced To 16 Months In Prison

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 25, 2007) – Actor Tom Sizemore is headed back behind bars.

A Los Angeles judge sentenced the embattled actor to 16 months in prison on Monday for violating his probation in a drug case.

Last week, Sizemore admitted he violated his probation and tearfully begged the judge for one more chance.

“If you would please just give me one more chance for myself,” Sizemore asked Judge Cynthia Rayvis in Los Angeles County Superior Court. “I can guarantee that I will give it everything that’s good about me,” Sizemore said.

He is due back in court tomorrow for a hearing to determine whether he will be credited for time he has already spent in live-in rehab facilities.

Sizemore was arrested last month at a Bakersfield hotel. Authorities said they found methamphetamine in his car. He has been in jail without bail since June 5 and has pleaded not guilty to seven drug-related charges, including transportation and possession of methamphetamines, possession of prescription drugs without the proper prescription and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
