Country superstar Blake Shelton is taking his bromance with fellow “The Voice” mentor Adam Levine to a whole new level.
“All I have to say is, it’s true: I have a man crush on Adam,” the “Honey Bee” singer told MTV News at Cosmo’s Fun Fearless Awards this week. “It blows me away people can pick up on that just by watching that on television.
“I want to kiss him. I want to kiss him so bad,” he added, smiling. “I don’t care if it’s mutual or not.”
Blake and Adam’s cutesy back-and-forth on the NBC reality competition has not gone unnoticed by their Twitter followers.
“It’s funny, ‘cause I get on Twitter — one of my routines during the day, if I’m home is, I wake up, get a cup of coffee, turn on the Weather Channel and I’ll look at what people are saying to me on Twitter on my phone,” he said. “And it’s always something about me and Adam, the bromance.”
Though Blake is happily married to fellow country star Miranda Lambert (who also appears on “The Voice” alongside her husband as a guest mentor to his team of hopefuls), he said the Maroon 5 frontman’s appeal is undeniable.
“Can you honestly tell me that you don’t have a little bit of a crush on Adam? He’s sexy, [that] is the word I’m using,” he said.
Watch Blake and Adam’s bromance continue to blossom as “The Voice” returns with week 2 of Battle Rounds on Monday at 8/7c on NBC.
