Tamar
Braxton “cannot wait to come back” after her recent health scare.
The singer and
TV personality withdrew from “Dancing with the Stars” last week due
to multiple blood clots in her lungs, and called in to her daytime talk show
“The Real” on Wednesday to update fans and colleagues on how she’s
been recovering since.
“I just feel so blessed to come out of the hospital,” the 38-year-old told her co-hosts Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley. “A lot of people don’t come out of the hospital with multiple [pulmonary embolisms] like I had. I just feel really blessed beyond measure.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Tamar was admitted to the emergency room during the Nov. 9 episode of
“DWTS,” for what she originally thought was pneumonia.
Despite returning to set for her final group number, she took to social
media in the following days to inform fans of her diagnosis and decision to
leave the show.

“With a Heavy heart I regret to inform you that my
season of #dwts has to come to an end,”
she wrote on Nov. 11, captioning an Instagram photo of herself alongside
“DWTS” partner Val Chmerkovskiy inside her hospital room.
“After yesterday’s
final #dwts performance I went back to the hospital (after the
doctors didn’t want me to leave in the first place) only to find out that I
don’t have pneumonia but something way more serious and that is having several
P.E.’s (blood clots in both sides of my lungs),” she explained.
The Grammy nominee was released on Tuesday, and shared an Instagram clip
of herself being happily wheeled out the door.
“Guess who’s leaving the hospital?” she sings in the vid, also giving a shout-out to her supporters.

“Thank you all for your prayers,” she captioned. “I [love] you all so much.”
While checking in with “The Real,” Tamar shared gratitude for her
family, including husband Vincent Herbert and her “mama,” and also shared
enthusiasm about returning to work.
“I miss all the fans. I miss being in the studio,” she said.
“And feeling, you know, all the love and the essence of ‘The Real,’ honey.
But to be honest, I cannot wait to come back.”
