Suits” actress Meghan Markle was so moved by watching Michelle Fairley’s performance in the “Game of Thrones” Red Wedding a few weeks ago that she brought her new USA series guest star a gift the Monday morning after it aired.
“I brought her flowers,” Meghan told reporters last Thursday, when USA Network flew AccessHollywood.com up to the Toronto set. “I wrote her a long e-mail after I watched it going, ‘I am just blown away. You are a force. It’s amazing.’ And then I saw her the next day and I brought her flowers and a card like, ‘Rest in peace, Lady Stark. Cheers to you.’
“And she happens to be the loveliest, coolest woman,” Meghan added of Michelle, who will appear as Ava Hessington in “Suits” Season 3, which premieres July 16 at 10/9c on USA.

Patrick J. Adams, who plays Mike Ross on “Suits” (and is a big “Game of Thrones” fan), actually wasn’t aware that the Red Wedding was coming when he met Michelle, whose “Suits” character, Ava, is a British entrepreneur who runs an international oil company and ends up needing Harvey Specter’s legal help.
“I did not know what was going to happen to her, but I had suspected [something] because in my fangirling, it was like trying to make conversation – ‘When are you going back to work? When are you gonna do that?’ And she was just like… ‘Ah. Well. We’ll go back…’ You could see her kind of stumbling over it and then I saw it in her eye and I just was like, ‘Stop. No more. I know,’” Patrick said, when Access asked the actor about Michelle during the press roundtable on the “Suits” set.

“So then I assumed that she was gonna go and I was like, ‘That’s OK. That’s OK to know. I don’t know how it’s gonna happen.’ And then, I obviously saw the Red Wedding the other day and it wasn’t just her, but the entire army of the North and it brutalized me and the only thing that got me through was being like, ‘Well, at least I get to go work with Michelle the next morning. That’s the nicest thing about it,’” he added.
Patrick said it’s been a blast to have Michelle — the second member from “Game of Thrones” — on the “Suits” cast (Conleth Hill, aka Lord Varys, joined as Edward Darby in Season 2).
“It was incredible,” he said of having the Northern Irish actress on set. “It’s a different part for her. She’s such a lovely woman, with such an amazing sense of humor so I think it was a really good fit for her.
“‘Game of Thrones’ is a lot of fun, but it’s not, I think, known for its sense of humor… so it was fun to get her on set and start getting to laugh with her a little bit, getting to know her really,” he added.

Gabriel Macht, who plays the lawyer with a fierce love of winning — Harvey Specter – on the show, wasn’t a “Game of Thrones” watcher, but he said having Michelle join the “Suits” Season 3 cast has been a joy.
“Michelle is a pleasure to work with. She’s hilarious,” Gabriel said.
“I haven’t watched ‘Game of Thrones.’ I only watched a recap… and I saw the Red Wedding and I was like, ‘Holy. Oh my,’” he continued. “She brings a certain grounded element to our show, which I love. She’s just such a solid actor and she’s classy and has this just — sophistication.”
