R&B/pop singer Ameriie married her longtime boyfriend, former Columbia Records executive Lenny Nicholson on Saturday.
The couple tied the knot in an elegant ceremony on Anguilla in the British West Indies, according to People.
“This is such an exciting time for me. This is my first marriage and I am over the moon,” Ameriie, who is best known for her funky dance hit “1 Thing” – which was featured in the Will Smith movie, “Hitch” — told the mag. “I look forward to a loving and enduring marriage. This day couldn’t come any sooner for me.
“I am beyond thrilled,” she added. “I will remember this day forever.”
The 30-year-old bride wore a dramatic Monique Lhullier gown with a cathedral train for the big day, along with baby blue Yves Saint Laurent Tribute sandals, while the groom rocked a Hugo Boss tuxedo, according to the mag.
The wedding and ensuing reception were held at the Viceroy Anguilla, People reported, where the couple will spend their honeymoon relaxing at the resort’s 5,000 sq. ft. Romance Villa and its accompanying private beach.
Ameriie’s fifth studio album, “Cymatika Vol. 1,” is slated for a Spring 2012 release.
