Simone Biles and her Olympic teammates now have an official name to honor their gold medal-winning partnership!
Hours after she, Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera took home the top honor at the 2024 Paris Olympics’ women’s artistic gymnastics team all-around, Simone took to social media to share their fivesome’s official nickname.
“Okay on the real though, the official team name is ✨golden girls✨ (because oldest olympic team),” she wrote.
Simone also added “s/o to cecile” in her X post, a nod to her coach, Cecile Canqueteau-Landi.

Simone also re-shared an Instagram Stories post of Cecile’s that celebrated their accomplishment.
She wrote, “With an average of 22.2 yrs old, these ladies are the oldest U.S. gymnastics team to win Gold at the Olympcis. 2024 Champions #goldengirls.”

Paris marks her third Olympic games, while 24-year-old Jade, 23-year-old Jordan, 21-year-old Suni are all two-time Olympic veterans.
The youngest member of the team is Hezly, who turned 16 last month and is competing in her first Olympics with the team.
Before revealing “Golden Girls” as the official name, Simone and her teammates teased their unofficial, NSFW name at a post-competition press conference.
After Jordan prompted her to abbreviate it, Simone began to spell out F.A.A.F.O. – then stopped and revealed that it stood for “F*** Around And Find Out,” earning laughs from the room.
