Shania Twain took a tumble on Wednesday night at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville, but the country superstar is keeping her sense of humor — and blaming her high heels.
“I just made a complete fool of myself and experienced one of life’s most embarrassing moments,” Shania said in a video message posted on her website following the incident where she was making her way to the stage to present Best Male Video of the Year, which went to Blake Shelton.
“I don’t need a stunt double,” she continued. “I didn’t hurt myself. I have a bit of a sore thumb and that’s about it.”
The singer blamed her stylish heels for the tumble.
“I’m gonna auction off those shoes. I’m gonna get rid of them as soon as I can. I never want to see those shoes again,” she said in the video.
“Or maybe I should keep them as a souviener? I don’t know, I’ll think about it,” as she blew kisses to the camera.
As previsouly reported on AccessHollywood.com, earlier on Wednesday, Shania announced plans to play a two-year engagement in Las Vegas at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace starting in Decemeber 2012.
