Faith Hill’s new, short hair captured attention on the Oscars red carpet, but upon closer look she also stepped out with a scar on her neck.
Access Hollywood has confirmed that the country star had a surgical procedure performed on her neck last month to correct damage from an injury that occurred a couple of years ago. The singer underwent anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, which is typically performed to relieve pain associated with a herniated disc.
Faith had a previous operation in 2011 on the back of her neck to treat the condition.

She is currently doing physical therapy to recover from the procedure.
The recording artist attended the Academy Awards last Sunday to support her husband, Tim McGraw, who performed Glen Campbell’s song “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” during the awards show.
