Social media schooled a Twitter user who failed to recognize the Oscar winner in her new Netflix thriller “Bird Box” this week.
Yes, that’s right – someone living in our current timeline did not know who Sandra Bullock is.

In a now-viral tweet, the user simply referred to Sandy as “the lady from bird box” while comparing her appearance to Michael Jackson. Although the post seemed to go unnoticed at first, it didn’t take long for a flurry of incredulous replies to start piling up.
“I know you did not just call THE Sandra Bullock ‘the lady from bird box,'” one commenter wrote. “Someone send help my way, this really messed me up.”
“The lady from bird box is SANDRA BULLOCK A QUEEN A GIFT TO HUMANITY,” another quipped. “Put some respect to her name.”
Many others were quick to flood the post with a vast collection of memes and GIFs from Sandra’s most popular movies, including “Miss Congeniality,” “Speed,” “Practical Magic” and more.
Although some feared the larger possibility that entire swaths of young folks are unaware of the actress and her work, the overwhelming support for Sandy only appeared to solidify her icon status.
Despite the backlash, it seems the OP has taken the situation in stride. In a new tweet, they revealed plans to dive headfirst into Sandra’s extensive career.
