WATCH: Meghan Markle’s Brother Thomas Jr. Hopes Baby Archie Brings Their Family Back Together (EXCLUSIVE)
It seems that Meghan Markle still isn’t popular in Prince Harry’s inner circle.
Since the birth of their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor, rumors continue to circulate that the Duchess of Sussex has overtaken Prince Harry.
On the CBS News special, “Meghan and Harry Plus One,” a biographer of the Prince claims that the former Hollywood actress may have developed a poor reputation among royal friends.
“I think she’s not popular in a lot of circles because they adore Harry and they seem to think that she’s running the show,” Angela Levin, author of “Harry: A Biography of a Prince,” told CBS.
However, some of Meghan’s old pals appeared on the special to defend their friend’s character.
“What’s so frustrating is that you hear these stories and there’s no truth to them,” Meghan’s former makeup artist Daniel Martin said. “In the years that I’ve known her, the years that I’ve worked with her, she’s never had a diva fit, never.”
Levin argued that Meghan had been warned to respect the “chain of command,” which she has been known to toy with since her entrance into the royal family.
During the birth of her son and the weeks following, Meghan has been surrounding herself with her own inner circle, which might not have sat well with the more traditional royal family members.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland spent time with the Duchess as the new family welcomed baby Archie. The new grandmother even snuck into a pic during Archie’s first photocall – which was certainly an unprecedented move!
The Duchess also invited her BFF Jessica Mulroney to town to meet the new baby in recent weeks.
Regardless of her likability, Meghan is making sure her support system is close to home.
