Ronda Rousey To Remake Patrick Swayze’s ‘Road House’

Patrick Swayze’s “Road House” is getting a reboot with MMA superstar Ronda Rousey.

The fighter/actress, who has appeared in “Furious 7,” the “Entourage” movie and “The Expendables 3,” announced the news on Twitter.

“It is a great honor to play a part in celebrating the life of a man that inspired so many. I couldn’t be more grateful to have this opportunity to pay respect to the beloved Patrick Swayze… I promise to work incessantly to make sure this project is a tribute his family and fans can be proud of,” she said in a statement.

Swayze’s 1989 movie follows Dalton, ” a tough bouncer,” who “is hired to tame a dirty bar.”

Classic lines from the movie include: “My way… or the highway,” “Pain don’t hurt” and “Take the biggest guy in the world, shatter his knee and he’ll drop like a stone.”

According to Variety, filming on the movie will begin in 2016.
