Richard Heene’s Checkered Past With The Law Revealed

Details continue to emerge on Balloon Boy’s dad, Richard Heene, and his checkered past with the law that has included police responding to a previous 911 call from their home, a report of an ankle bracelet to monitor his whereabouts and the LA County Department of Children and Family Services.

According to an incident report obtained by Access Hollywood, on February 8, 2009, authorities responded to a 911 hang-up call from the Heene residence in Fort Collins, Colorado.

“As I approached the front door I heard a male voice yelling quite loudly. I could not make out what was being said, but could hear a male who sounded quite angry,” the responding officer alleged in the report. “After hearing the male voice I heard a female voice that sounded like a scream or a squeal.”

The report stated that Heene acknowledged that the phone number associated with the 911 hang-up call was his number, but said he did not understand why anyone would call the authorities.

“I also spoke with MAYUMI [Heene] inside the residence. MAYUMI had a mark on her cheek and broken blood vessels in her left eye. Evidence photos taken,” the officer claimed in the report. “Both advised ‘nothing happened’. MAYUMI advised that her eye was like that because ‘I had a problem with my contact.’”

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Officer did not make any arrests, but did write, “I do have reasonable suspicion to believe that a physical altercation may have occurred at this address.”

In a separate incident from 2006, while filing for a restraining order against a former employee, Matt Wineroth, Heene acknowledged that he had been reported to the LA County Department of Children and Family Services.

In the restraining order petition obtained by Access, Heene called the claims to Family Services, that Wineroth allegedly made, erroneous. The restraining order request against Wineroth was dismissed after Heene failed to show in court.

And in yet another incident, according to Radar Online, Heene was forced to an ankle bracelet in 1997 for 30 days in connection with a vandalism conviction. Heene reportedly destroyed a 1987 Volkswagen belonging to Benito Ortiz.
