Michael Jackson will spend eternity rocking his signature white glove, according to an online report.
The King of Pop will be buried wearing a white leather glove designed for the singer 10-12 years ago by Dorothy Gaspar of LA’s Gaspar Gloves, TMZ reported.
Sister La Toya reportedly wanted her brother to wear a glove in his casket and selected one designed by Gaspar, which is covered in Swarovski crystals.
Gaspar was reportedly told her work would be worn by Jackson on Wednesday, when the singer’s stylist, Michael Bush, picked up 20 green gloves that Gaspar had made for the singer’s dancers.
In more Jackson family news, according to Vanity Fair, sister Janet personally asked Donatella Versace to design the clothing the Jackson family wore on Tuesday during the Michael Jackson public memorial service held at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. As a tribute, the men of the Jackson family all wore one white glove during the service.
Jackson first collaborated with Donatella’s brother, Gianni Versace, in 1983, and continued to sport the label throughout his career, including using pieces from the design house on his “Dangerous” and “HIStory” tours.
