Report: Hugh Jackman Won’t Serve As 2010 Oscar Host

He may have brought song and levity to the 2009 Oscars, but despite the rumors, Hugh Jackman won’t be back to host the 2010 ceremony.

Sources told Variety that the Australian actor recently turned down the job.

According to the Hollywood trade magazine, Hugh isn’t opposed to hosting the Oscars again, he just didn’t want to do it two years in a row.

The father of two is currently starring on Broadway in “A Steady Rain,” opposite British heartthrob Daniel Craig.

He has a host of projects on the horizon including a dramatic film, “The Real Steel,” which begins shooting in Spring 2010, the mag reported.

The 2010 Oscars will take place on March 7.
