According to Marie Claire, Courteney Cox has tried Botox.
“Botox? I think it’s fantastic and also horrible,” she reportedly told Marie Claire’s November issue. “I mean, they’ve come up with this stuff that can make you not look angry. But you have to use it sparingly.”
The former “Friends” star allegedly told the mag she was coaxed into using the product because of a doctor.
“I went to this doctor once and he was like, ‘Oh, let me do it just here and here and here.’ And I was miserable,” she is quoted as having said. “I mean, I’m an actor, I’ve got to be able to move my face. When people start messing with their foreheads and can’t life their eyebrows, that’s weird. It’s not that I haven’t tried Botox — but I hated it.”
Courteney is not the only celebrity to have reportedly tried the product. Virginia Madsen and “American Idol’s” Simon Cowell have admitted to using Botox.
“To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste,” Simon told Britain’s Glamour magazine earlier this year. “It works, you do it once a year – who cares?”
And Virginia is the spokesperson for Allergan, Inc, who makes Botox and Juvederm.
As for Courteney, she hinted she had no interest in revisiting the product as her husband, David Arquette, “loves the aging process.”
“He thinks it’s beautiful,” she added.
