Despite harrowing reports that hit the Internet on Tuesday afternoon, Jaclyn Smith is fine and in Los Angeles, Access Hollywood can confirm.
The former “Charlie’s Angels” star is in Los Angeles, her publicist, Jay Schwartz, confirmed to Access.
On Tuesday, Web sites including Perez Hilton reported that the actress, “attempted suicide… while at her vacation house… in Honduras.”
But the report is completely false.
Jaclyn’s Twitter account corroborated this information.
“Jaclyn is safe and home with her family. She is not in Honduras. It is a lie,” her account read. A second post read, “Jaclyn is fine. Those reports are FALSE.”
Schwartz, who also represents AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman, revealed he spoke to her this morning, and although Smith’s mother passed away two weeks ago, she is otherwise just fine and in Los Angeles.
Access may have uncovered the root of the misinformation.
Dr. Pastor, an Emergency Room doctor at Cemesa hospital in Honduras explained that Sandra Franklin, the wife of a “Charlie’s Angels” producer was admitted to their hospital with a gunshot wound.
Schwartz confirmed that Franklin served as Smith’s stunt double on “Charlie’s Angels.”
No further details were immediately available.
