Pee-Wee Herman is coming back to the big screen!
Paul Reubens confirmed the news that his beloved character, which spawned multiple movies and a popular Saturday morning show, will appear in another film, with Judd Apatow producing.

“There is going to be [a movie],” Reubens told Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday’s “Tonight Show”. “And I was hoping that I could make this huge announcement tonight, but it’s a week away, I think, from being announced.”

Tim Burton directed the first Pee-Wee movie, 1985’s “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure,” but the helmer of the next installment is being kept under wraps for now.
“We hired a director, I can’t’ say yet, we’re going to start in February,” Paul, who created the character in an improve group in the ’80s, explained.

“Is it Steven Spielberg?” Jimmy asked.
“Steven Spielberg!” Paul said, while shaking his head.
In addition to the fan-favorite 1985 film (which had dialogue gems like,” You don’t wanna get mixed up with a guy like me. I’m a loner, Dottie. A rebel,” and “Be sure and tell ’em Large Marge sent ya!”) the character was seen in 1988’s “Big Top Pee-Wee.”
