Time to butter up the “Dancing with the Stars” judges!
Access Hollywood has confirmed that sometimes-controversial and headline-making celebrity chef Paula Deen will compete on Season 21 of the ABC reality dance competition.
In 2013, the Food Network star was at the center of a media firestorm after she admitted to using the N-word during a deposition. She was subsequently dropped from the Food Network and lost a slew of endorsement deals as well.

In July, Paula and her son Bobby Deen made headlines after the TV chef posted a photo of Bobby in brownface.
Paula joins previously announced stars Nick Carter, Bindi Irwin and Triple Crown winning jockey Victor Espinoza for “Dancing with the Stars” Season 21, which debuts on September 14 at 8 PM ET/PT on ABC.
