The highly anticipated hit āOuter Banksā is back for a fourth season and thereās a new treasure to be found.
The season starts with an 18-month time jump and finds the Pogues enjoying life as they build Poguelandia 2.0.
During that time, Sarah and John B. are starting a life together after the death of their dads in Season 3.
āI think they have this very shared traumatic experience so they are trauma bonded for life now, and I think they can move forward without this also shared conflict that was a big issue last season,ā Madelyn Cline told Access Hollywood about where fans will find the characters.
Moving forward is a big theme for Sarah and John B. this season, but Chase Stokes said in order for them to move forward, they have to acknowledge the past.
āThese two have been through so much together and then as individuals and a lot of their individual journeys have mirrored themselves,ā he told Access. āI think at some point in a relationship you either realize youāre good for each other or not and to put all the B.S. behind you and start moving forward and I do think Season 4 is the start of that chapter for them.ā

āJJ is trying to trust himself in that and I think that is where Season 4 starts,ā Rudy Pankow told Access. āJJ is trying to feel like, is this something I can do right.ā
Fans have waited years to see JJ and Kiara make it official, and Madison said timing is everything.
āWe waited for our moment and last season it finally happened. Everything happens in the right time right and weāre also 18 months into it and thriving,ā she explained.
JJ and Kiara arenāt the only new coupleāPope and Cleo are together as well! When Access spoke to J.D. and Carlacia Grant they explained why theyāre a good match.
āItās like the ying and the yang,ā Carlacia said. āPope is really smart, and he likes to think through everything and Cleoās like stop thinking letās just go. They balance each other out but at the core of it, itās real genuine love for each other and I think thatās what makes it work.ā
But not everyone is happily in love this season. Rafe is still dealing with the death of his dad, Ward Cameron, and navigating his complicated relationship with his sister Sarah. When Access spoke to Drew Starkey, he revealed if he thinks Rafe will ever patch things up with Sarah.
āI donāt know, I think thereās a part of him that yearns for that because thatās a part of his dad that still kind of lives within him, but weāll see,ā Drew said. āI think heās in a place where heās starting to understand what family might mean and how it might bring him some peace. He obviously wants that but itās about if he has the ability to communicate it properly.ā
Part 1 of Season 4 of āOuter Banksā streams on Netflix Oct.10 and part 2 starts streaming Nov. 7.
