Nicole Kidman’s unique style of clapping at the Oscars has
been explained.
During an interview on Australia’s KIIS 1065 “Kyle and
Jackie O” show, Kyle asked the actress if the rings she was wearing on the
night caused her to clap the way she did.
“You are so right, Kyle,” Nicole confirmed.

“I’m so glad you clarified that because it was really awkward,” Nicole added. “I was like, ‘Gosh, I want to clap, but I don’t want to not be clapping,’ which would be worse – ‘Why isn’t Nicole clapping?'”
Nicole explained she was just trying to take care of the
jewelry she was wearing.

“So therefore I’m clapping, but it was really difficult because I had a huge ring on that was not my own, but was absolutely gorgeous and I was terrified of damaging it,” she added.
