Erin Muller was arrested on Thursday in Nassau County, New York, authorities confirmed to Access Hollywood.
According to Nassau police, Muller, the former fiancee of Michael Lohan, was arrested for violating a protective order.
The Nassau County District Attorney’s Office told Access that Lohan claimed to them that he had received a call on his mobile phone from Muller – after telling her she shouldn’t be calling, he hung up.
She appeared in court on Friday and was released on her own recognizance. According to the D.A.’s Office, she’s due back in court on April 7.
Muller’s lawyer denied the allegations to TMZ, telling the site, “Erin denies ever calling him … and once again we’re dealing with another bogus allegation.”
In a statement to Access, Lohan criticized Muller’s lawyer, Bryan Konoski, and said that he would pursue further legal action.
“If Bryan Konoski would have been a REAL lawyer ( months ago) and looked after his clients best interest, and if Erin and her friends would stop harassing me and my family, a lot of this wouldn’t have happened,” he said in the statement. “Just in case they continue on their path, we are preparing subpoenas that will lead to another 3 or 4 felony Federal or State Charges and I am hiring another attorney that handles civil actions which I will pursue as well. Then we will see, who’s been and is telling the truth.
“I am sorry for all of this,” he continued. “I even felt sick thinking of Erin being in jail because I have been their [sic] myself and its no place a person wants anyone to be, but they continue to leave us no other choice.”
