Sarah Jessica Parker joins “Glee” for a guest arc this season and for series regular Matthew Morrison, she’s a true blast from his own past — he was once on “Sex and The City.”
Matthew appeared as a waiter in “SATC’s” Season 2, at the tail end of the “They Shoot Single People, Don’t They,” episode and he reminisced about the moment with AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman on the “Glee” Season 4 premiere red carpet in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
“Yes, my scene was actually with Sarah Jessica Parker,” Matthew said, after Laura surprised the actor by bringing up the little-known moment. “I was 19 years old. I played a bus boy and I think my line was, ‘Will anyone else be joining you?’ and then I walked away.
“It was supposed to be at a restaurant, but they shot it [outdoors in] New York,” he continued. “The only thing I remember was I walked into this doorway, but the door was closed, so I had to like, tuck into this doorway, but if you look into the reflection you can see my a**, like hanging out, just like trying to be really cool.”

Unfortunately for fans hoping for a reunion of the two on the small screen, it doesn’t appear likely as SJP’s “Glee” character – Vogue.com editor Isabelle – will be based in New York City and interact with Chris Colfer’s Kurt Hummel.
“Not at this point, [but] who knows. [Will] Schuester might take a trip to New York and hang out,” Matthew said.
Chris, who has been filming with the actress, said SJP has put in an outstanding performance as the “frazzled, eccentric [and] hilarious” (according to “Glee’s” co-creator and executive producer Ian Brennan) Isabelle.
“She kills it,” Chris told Laura. “She’s great and I really, really just fell in love with her.”
With Kurt set to be an intern for Vogue.com, Chris said fans can expect some similarities to the famed fashion film from Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep.
“Very, like, ‘Devil Wears Prada’ type locations,” Chris said. “Different storylines than the movie, obviously.
“She’s my mentor, but we kind of end up mentoring each other,” he added of Kurt’s interactions with Isabelle. “It’s very sweet.”
But there’s more – Chris confirmed that the fashion-loving Kurt will get to do a very Carrie Bradshaw-type thing – visit the hallowed space of the Vogue closet.
“There is the closet! Yes!” he confirmed.
“Glee” kicks off its Season 4 premiere on Thursday, September 3 at 9 PM on FOX.
