Benson and Stabler are back again, and this time they’re celebrating! Mariska Hargitay reunited with her former “Law & Order: SVU” co-star Christopher Meloni over the weekend for a special occasion.
On Saturday, the actress shared a cute Instagram snap of her and Chris in honor of his 56th birthday.
The longtime pals also exchanged brief, but playful banter across Twitter in a pair of affectionate selfies.

Chris left the NBC police drama back in 2011, but has appeared to keep in close touch with Mariska over the years. They’ve delighted followers with past reunion photos in recent months, including one shared on Instagram right after Valentine’s Day.
“SVU” fans may want to anticipate seeing future get-togethers as well.

At the “Underground” Season 2 premiere in March, Chris teased Access Hollywood that there’s plenty more pictures ready to go.
