Mariah Carey announced the title of her next album on Twitter on Wednesday.
“Bcuz I Love U, I want u to be the first to know the title of my new album ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,’” she wrote. “It’s very personal & dedicated to u.”
The star also promised a “special announcement” at 3:27 PM, though her Twitter page had yet to deliver as of 4 PM PST.
On Tuesday, she Tweeted that she was “in the studio w/Timbaland” just days after a trip to Cannes with husband Nick Cannon to support her new film, “Precious.”
“Memoirs” will be the diva’s twelfth studio album, following 2007’s “E=MC2,” which spawned “Touch My Body” – her eighteenth No. 1 single, putting her second only to the Beatles, who had 20 No. 1 hits.
In a separate announcement, Usher revealed the name of his next release – “Monster,” due this fall, according to a rep for the R&B singer.
