“CSI” star Marg Helgenberger and her husband, actor Alan Rosenberg, have split after nearly two decades of marriage, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
A rep for the actress confirmed the news to Access.
“After 19 years of marriage, Marg and Alan have decided to take some time apart. They love and respect each other and remain committed to their family,” the rep said.
Helgenberger, 50, and Rosenberg, 57, wed in 1989 and have an 18-year-old son named Hugh.
The couple met in 1984 when both were acting on the daytime soap opera “Ryan’s Hope.” They began dating in 1986 after Rosenberg’s divorce from actress Robin Bartlett.
Helgenberger plays Catherine Willows on “CSI.” Rosenberg has appeared as a guest star on the show twice, playing Adam Novak.
In addition to guest spots on “House,” “Numb3rs” and “NYPD Blue,” Rosenberg was a series regular on “The Guardian” and “LA Law.” He is also president of the Screen Actors Guild.
Helgenberger will appear on the big screen in the upcoming thriller “Columbus Day,” alongside Val Kilmer.
