Love In Hollywood: Stars Share Valentine’s Day Plans

Stars are just like us – they need love too!

So what are some of Hollywood’s lovely ladies planning for Valentine’s Day? The stars share their plans…

“I don’t mean to be phony, but we do try to make every day Valentine’s Day. Every day we try to show each other how much we really love each other, because tomorrow is not promised.” – Jada Pinkett Smith on how she spends the day with Will.

“Having kids, there is this all-new appreciation of the hand-made Valentine’s card and the effort that goes into it. I actually got my first Valentine’s Day card from my daughter.” – Brooke Shields on why her family makes the day extra special.

“I’m thinking of throwing a Single Awareness party for all of my friends. No, I’m not doing that. I’m kidding. What are my plans right now? Making Valentines for my daughter’s school, and probably putting together little things for her. I don’t have any plans.” – Teri Hatcher told The Associated Press on wanting to establish her own holiday.

“A friend is mine’s daughter is having her bat mitzvah on Valentine’s Day, so that’s where I’ll be.” – “The Office” star Jenna Fischer shares her platonic plans with the AP.

“I’ve done nothing. I’m going to put on self tanner and lingerie. I hope that’s enough!” – Kelly Ripa joking on her plans for husband Mark Consuelos.

“I’ll actually be on a plane on Valentine’s Day. But I don’t celebrate it anyway – never have. I don’t think my man should care about me just one day out of 365.” – Carrie Underwood on why she doesn’t have any special plans.

“This will be the second year that my husband and I won’t be together on Valentine’s Day, which is really said. But it’s hard for me say, ‘Oh, poor me’ because everyday is really Valentine’s Day to us.” – Tori Spelling on being apart from husband Dean McDermott.

“Maybe if we’re not going to have the baby at the Grammys, it could be a week late and come on Valentine’s Day. Yeah, you never know.” – Pregnant rapper M.I.A. told the AP she might get a special gift on the big day.

“I’ll make a Valentine for my son, and I know I’ll get one from my mom. That I know for sure.” – Melissa Leo, an Oscar nominee for best actress for “Frozen River,” to the AP on keeping things simple.

“I don’t like Valentine’s Day. Well you know what, I don’t like Valentine’s Day if I’m single, but if things sort themselves out by the 14th, then …” – Best New Artist Grammy winner Adele told the AP on her mixed feelings about the holiday.

“Me and my husband, we just usually eat a fabulous meal at a great restaurant. I have to tell you, and I’m not trying to be melodramatic, with my husband, every day is Valentine’s Day. So it’s just another day.” – Supporting actress Oscar nominee Viola Davis told the AP on celebrating love year-round.

“I love Valentine’s Day. I think I love hearts, and I love pink and I love candy and flowers.” – Dakota Fanning to the AP on getting into the holiday spirit.

“It’s the day where love dreams come true. No, actually. It never worked for me. But I am playing Heaven, it’s a gay club … so I’m playing this concert with all these beautiful men unfortunately that are not really into me in a romantic sense. But here’s hoping.” – Singer Duffy shared with the AP on her plans to surround herself with men on Valentine’s Day.
