Lady Gaga is continuing her awards season reign.
The pop star and recent Golden Globe-winning actress will perform her
Oscar-nominated song “Til It Happens to You” at Saturday’s Producers
Guild Awards in Los Angeles, the organization announced on Thursday.
Co-penned
by Gaga and prolific songwriter Diane Warren, the tune is featured in director Kirby Dick’s campus assault documentary
“The Hunting Ground,” which will be honored with the PGA’s Stanley
Kramer Award for promoting social
awareness.
In a press statement, Producers Guild co-chairs Michael De Luca
and Jennifer Todd called Gaga “one of the most exciting performers working
today” and also championed her work outside of music.
“We
admire and appreciate Lady Gaga’s commitment as an outspoken advocate for those
whose voices often go unheard,” they said. “In her activism, she
truly embodies the spirit of Stanley Kramer, and we are doubly honored to have
her join us in honoring ‘The Hunting Ground’ in his name.”

Warren, who has eight Academy Award nods
to her name, recently shared the inspiration behind “Til It Happens To
You” on Twitter.

Gaga’s already had some
practice playing the song live ahead of taking the PGA stage.
She first performed
“Til It Happens To You” at Billboard’s Women in Music Event in
December 2015 — a performance which was
noted for the emotional and inspiring speech she gave to the audience, which included her own friends and family.
