Lady Gaga may be nominated for a Grammy award for Album of the Year, but the “Bad Romance” singer wasn’t always a superstar.
“I was really good at it,” she told the January issue of ELLE on her days as a Manhattan waitress. “I always got big tips.”
And even then, she revealed, style was a big part of her work.
“I always wore heels to work!” she said, before likening the job to her current gig. “I told everybody stories, and for customers on dates, I kept it romantic. It’s kind of like performing.”
And while being a waitress wasn’t easy, the stress was obviously nothing compared to being a pop star.
“I get all the symptoms of a pregnant woman,” the 23-year-old star said. “I get headaches, I get tired, I get blurred vision sometimes during a really intense session with [design collective] the Haus [of Gaga].”
Still, the single Gaga said a real pregnancy could be on the way – in time.
“Of course, yeah. I mean, not tomorrow!” she said. “But in eight to 10 years, I want to have babies for my dad to hold, grandkids. I want to have a husband who loves me and supports me, just the way anybody else does.”
