Being a superstar isn’t much different from being a vampire, according to Kristen Stewart.
In a new interview with BlackBook magazine, the “Twilight Saga” star said the life of Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen character is akin to life in the Hollywood spotlight.
“Edward is actually a really good parallel to fame,” Kristen told BlackBook. “As a vampire, he has a sad, desolate life — fame is the same.”
And while millions of “Twi-hards” would kill to trade places with the girl who gets to kiss Robert Pattinson, Kristen said her real-life celebrity status isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
“Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable. I’m an actor. It’s bizarre to me that everybody’s so obsessive,” she continued. “I don’t want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie.”
And when it comes to rumors Kristen and Robert are romantic off-screen, her “Twilight” co-star set the record straight in his new interview with Vanity Fair.
“[We’re] good friends,” Robert told the mag, though he had plenty of compliments to bestow upon his co-star. “I think she’s the best young actress around. She’s influenced how I’ve done all the ‘Twilight’ stuff. It’s quite nice to have someone who is genuinely indifferent to the whole spectacle of everything.”
