Khloe
Kardashian is a whole new woman.
The
reality star covers the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar, in which she discusses
the inner and outer changes she’s experienced since shedding 40 pounds.
Although
her famous family members are often considered among Hollywood’s most
fashionable celebrities, Khloe admitted that before she took her health more
seriously, she often felt cast aside.

“I definitely think the fashion industry, and people in
general, look at me more now that I’ve lost weight,” she told the mag.
“Even on shoots, I would never have options for clothing. There would
always be this attention on Kourtney and Kim, but I was too much work for
[stylists] or they had nothing in my size. I wasn’t even that crazy big!”
While some stylists simply didn’t have a wardrobe to offer
her, Khloe said others delivered more direct rejection.

“Other people actually said, ‘I just can’t work with
you’ — because I was too big,” she added. “That always hurt my
feelings.”
Now, Khloe said she has the last laugh when those same
fashion insiders request a collaboration, or to dress her for a high-profile
event.
“I’m just like,
‘F*** you. I’m not going to reward your bad behavior!'” she said.
Getting fit was about more than just a physical
transformation for Khloe. She told the mag that she initially found exercise as
a way to cope with and escape from what she described as a “dark and
toxic” home life with then-husband Lamar Odom.

“At the time, my family didn’t know what I was going
through. It was the biggest secret I’ve kept. I just needed a place to
go,” she recalled of going to the gym.
“They had a TV and I could watch ‘The Real Housewives’ on an elliptical.
No one talked to me. I loved that solitude.”
Her unhappiness at the time was something she kept to
herself, but Khloe said she’s since learned to embrace her workout routine as a
productive emotional outlet — and a
bonding opportunity with her sisters.
“I love that we can work out together,” she said of
Kourtney and Kim, adding that her newfound confidence has taken her motivation
to the next level.
“I’m
a beast at the gym. I’m super competitive and I’m a sweater,” she told the
mag. “I’m like, ‘Don’t f*** with me and don’t mess up my routine.'”
