Kendall Jenner says she and sister Kylie Jenner have had a tougher time in the spotlight than older sisters Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian.
“They got to live their teen years in a very different way than we did,” Kendall, who turned 18 last week, told People. “They lived it normally and then once they were already grown up, they went through what we’re now going through.”
The aspiring model said her and 16-year-old Kylie’s older sisters readily admit they’re happy their family didn’t achieve fame until after they had passed their awkward teenage years.
“They even say to us: ‘If I was in your position, I would not be able to handle it,’” Kendall told the mag.
One thing that makes dealing with media scrutiny easier for Kendall and Kylie is playing aunt to sister Kourtney’s two kids, Mason and Penelope, and Kim’s daughter, North.
”[North] is amazing,” Kendall said. “We love it. I mean, we loved being an aunt to Mason and Penelope, so the third one was a great, great thing for us. We love it.”
Added Kylie, “We’re like aunt times six now. I love all of my nieces and nephews.”
