Kelsey Grammer walked off “Piers Morgan Tonight” last week after seeing a photo of his ex-wife, Camille Grammer, in the show open, but the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star was not off limits when Kelsey hit the set of “Anderson Live” for a new interview.
Anderson Cooper, the host of the daytime talk show, brought up one appearance the “Boss” star made in “RHOBH” Season 1 where Camille visited Kelsey backstage when the former “Frasier” star was on Broadway. During the moment, the two had an awkward, if not cold-for-a-married-couple, exchange when they reunited after not seeing each other for a while.
“I was trying to pretend things were normal for the sake of letting her have that moment for the sake of somehow letting her have that moment,” Kelsey told Anderson on Wednesday’s show, of why he let that encounter be captured on camera.
Upon reflection, Kelsey, who is now married to Kayte Grammer, a former stewardess he met on an international flight while he was still married to Camille, said allowing cameras in the room was not a good idea.
“It was just ill advised. It was the wrong decision and I should have come home from England when I first met Kayte and just said, ‘Listen I’ve met somebody and this hasn’t been working for a long time.’ I regret not doing that,” he continued. “I thought I could do something nice, some parting thing and so it was very painful and uncomfortable. It was uncomfortable for Kayte, it was uncomfortable for all of us.”
