Dear fat-shaming Internet trolls, you might not want to take on Kelly Clarkson!
The singer was asked about recent comments made by British TV personality Katie Hopkins about the singer’s weight and Kelly’s response is perfect.
In February after Kelly’s appearance on “The Graham Norton Show,” Katie – who has been dubbed “The Most Hated Woman In Britain” – posted a barrage of fat-shaming Tweets about Kelly.
Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen. #grahamnorton

Look chubsters, Kelly Clarkson had a baby a year ago. That is no longer baby weight. That is carrot cake weight. Get over yourselves.

Heat magazine asked Kelly about Katie’s comments and the singer handled it like a pro.

“I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. Someone Tweeted something about me?” she told the mag, explaining she has no idea who Katie even was (which is just awesome and makes us love Kelly even more).
“She’s Tweeted something nasty about me? That’s because she doesn’t know me,” Kelly, who welcomed daughter River Rose in June, said.
“I’m awesome! It doesn’t bother me. It’s a free world. Say what you will,” she continued.

In fact, Kelly isn’t worried about what anyone is saying about her.
“I’ve just never cared what people think,” she explained. “It’s more if I’m happy and I’m confident and feeling good, that’s always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family – I don’t seek out any other acceptance.”
Kelly said she hopes to inspire her daughter and stepdaughter Savannah, 13, to feel similarly.

“You need to be happy with who you are and, whoever that is, let your little light shine,” Kelly added.
