A car registered to Kanye West crashed into a garage in Honolulu’s Diamond Head neighborhood early Saturday morning, KITV Honolulu reported.
According to the ABC affiliate, the car – a Porsche Panamera – crashed after failing to make a right turn.
Police reportedly told KITV that an auto theft report was filed afterward, with witnesses telling authorities that three men were spotted leaving the scene of the accident.
“I looked over here and saw the car impaled in the garage,” local resident Chris Cooper told the affiliate. “Just a tremendous crash. As if a small building were coming down.”
Kanye has been recording his forthcoming album in Hawaii, reportedly renting a Diamond Head home since December.
KITV reported that the rapper is not currently in the island state.
A prospective single from the album, “Power,” leaked last month.
A release date for the album, which Billboard reported is tentatively titled “Good Ass Job,” has not yet been officially announced.
