Joseph Gordon-Levitt has accepted a challenging new role: fatherhood!
The actor and his wife, robotics executive Tasha McCauley, reportedly welcomed their first child, a boy, over the Aug. 15 weekend, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
“Everyone’s happy and healthy,” an insider told Us Weekly, who first reported the news on Wednesday.

Joseph and Tasha’s happy news may be a surprise, but the couple’s decision to keep the pregnancy under wraps is not. The new parents are known for maintaining a private personal life and wed quietly at their home on Dec. 20, 2014.
The baby’s name and birth date have not yet been revealed.

JGL will next appear on Season 4 of “The Mindy Project” on Hulu, and in Oliver Stone’s Edward Snowden biopic “Snowden,” out on Christmas Day.
