Jennifer Lopez On Her ‘Princess Moment’ On ‘American Idol’ Stage

Jennifer Lopez stepped out from behind the judges’ desk on last Thursday’s “American Idol” to perform her song “Feel the Light” from “Home.”

She said the breathtaking dress she wore for the special performance made her feel like royalty.

“I was like, ‘This is such a moment.’ It was such a princess moment,” she told Access Hollywood at the premiere of “Home” on Sunday in Westwood, Calif. “I remember writing my whole team that night. I was like, ‘Thank you for making this little girl be [a] princess for a day.’ That’s how it felt like.”

The singer/actress elaborated on how she pulled off the visually captivating number.

“It was a projection. It just came together so beautifully,” she said. “I couldn’t have asked for more. It’s a vision I had for a long time but the way it came together, was even more than I imagined.”

J.Lo had posed on the purple carpet with her twins, Max and Emme – who she nicknamed her “coconuts” – but the kids then quickly went inside the theater to grab their seats.

“They were a little bit overwhelmed with all the people,” the mom explained.

Co-star Rihanna – who was dressed in head-to-toe Dior – compared Jennifer’s “Idol” dress to a famous animated character from “Frozen.”

“Isn’t that beautiful? She looks like a princess. She kinda looks like Elsa,” RiRi said.
