Jennifer Garner is sending heartfelt thanks to some of the most important people in her kids’ lives.
The actress shared a touching letter she wrote to the educators who taught her and Ben Affleck’s three little ones for more than a decade, thanking them for making the trio’s elementary school years so meaningful.
In a series of screenshots from her phone’s Notes app that she shared to Instagram on June 13, Jennifer acknowledged that she’s especially grateful to the group for “caring about my kids with me” and presenting a balance of guidance and support.
“Thank you for disciplining my kids when they’ve needed it and for offering more hugs than some children receive in a lifetime,” she wrote in part. “Thank you for all of the hard work that goes into having high expectations, for buckling down and teaching them the discomfort and joy of tolerating frustration toward a greater good.”
The 52-year-old went on to praise the school’s priority for giving the youngsters “a safe haven” that facilitates “education and character” while giving students the space to “focus on the business of being little.”
Jennifer included a special shoutout to the faculty members who dressed up for Halloween, played hockey at lunch, oversaw art projects and performances, and other efforts she said went above and beyond her highest expectations.
The “Alias” star’s kind gesture comes as her and ex-husband Ben’s oldest child, Violet, finishes high school and their youngest, 12-year-old Samuel, moves on to junior high.
She and the actor have reunited in recent weeks for family celebrations in the kids’ honor, and she included a nod to all those devoted to shaping the next generation.
“A little gratitude for our wonderful family elementary school at the end of 13 years together applies to all educators: thank you for doing what you do. ♥️,” she wrote in her caption. “And congratulations to all the mamas out there with kids moving from one phase to the next. ♥️♥️.”
The Golden Globe winner hasn’t been shy about sharing her emotional response to her family’s latest milestones. Many fellow parents, including a few of Jen’s famous friends, could relate to her tearful state during Violet’s sendoff ceremony in May.
Jennifer posted multiple Instagram photos and videos of herself wiping tears while cheering on her 18-year-old daughter, and poked playful fun at how overcome she was at the event.
“Tell me you have a graduate without telling me you have a graduate,” she teased, in her Instagram caption adding, “bless our hearts” alongside a laughing emoji.
