Mark your calendars. “Homeland” Season 5 has a premiere date.
The Claire Danes-fronted series’ fifth season premieres on Showtime on Sunday, October 4 at 9 PM ET/PT.
Showtime made the announcement on Thursday, also releasing the poster for the new season, featuring Claire’s character Carrie Mathison.

The new season will find Carrie in Berlin, two years after everything happened during her Islamabad station chief tenure. She’ll be working as the head of security for a German philanthropist, and begins Season 5 estranged from the CIA, per the network.
Immediately following “Homeland’s” return, “The Affair” Season 2 returns at 10 PM ET/PT.

“The Affair’s” second season will look at how Alison (Ruth Wilson), her lover Noah (Dominic West), Helen (Maura Tierney) and Cole (Joshua Jackson) move on with their lives after everything that happened in the first season. It will be told from four perspectives.
