Showtime has revealed new details about the September return of “Homeland.”
When the show resumes for its third season, there is a “global manhunt for the world’s most wanted terrorist” — Nick Brody (played by Emmy-winner Damian Lewis) — Showtime revealed in a release. Brody is suspected of having caused the major terrorist attack that occurred in the Season 2 finale.
There will be some big trouble ahead for Claire Danes’ Carrie and Mandy Patinkin’s Saul, who are “swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and the subsequent search for Brody’s whereabouts,” per the network.
Rupert Friend, who made a big impression in Season 2 as (secret) assassin Quinn, will be back, as will Morena Baccarin as Jessica Brody, Jackson Pace as her son, Chris, and Morgan Saylor as her daughter, Dana.
“Homeland” Season 3 premieres September 29 at 9 PM ET/PT on Showtime.
