Healthy Hollywood: Try It On Tuesday – Alex Morgan’s Patriotic Spirit!

Soccer champ Alex Morgan helped Team USA score a gold medal at the London 2012 games.

But, this big-hearted athlete says she tries to put her best foot forward always – even off the field.

“I want people to see I care about the community. I don’t just put on the jersey every game and step on the field without always looking at that USA flag on our jersey and knowing I’m representing our country every single game I play,” Alex reveals to Healthy Hollywood.

The 23-year-old soccer sensation had the great honor this morning of ringing the New York Stock Exchange’s opening bell on 9/11.

Alex took part in the 9/11 tribute on behalf of Action America, which is a charity that unites Americans to turn the events of 9/11 into a positive.

“It’s always great to put on my jersey and represent my country. And, to be able to go up there and ring the opening bell and taking positive action into our own hands today. It was something I jumped on when I was given the opportunity to do this. I am really excited I got to be a part of this.”

Alex’s give back spirit continues later today. She’s going to be a part of the “Just Dance” fashion show, which benefits Action America. The sports star says she’s never walked the runway, but feels pretty good about it.

“I’ve gotten a couple words of advice, but pretty much I just hope I don’t fall on my face.”

Alex will wear two different outfits and both of them will be auctioned off to help raise money.
