Guy Candy: Josh, Tyrese & Shia! The Men of ‘Transformers’

As the guys blushed, Access probed further. Who is the hottest on screen?

“Every time we hung out he would always try and like, when girls [would come by] he’d be trying to flex his back arm or something, I seen him,” Tyrese revealed about Josh.

“It’s true,” Duhamel admits.

Shia LaBeouf was in the other room so he didn’t get to participate in the battle of the bods. Instead we took the opportunity to probe the deep thinker about what he liked about working on the film as the teen love interest of Megan Fox. Turns out playing opposite a hot girl wasn’t quite as exciting as playing opposite a hot couple of thousand pounds of steel so we are only slightly jealous.

“It’s invigorating,” he said. “I’m a fan first. When you actually see a fully built transformer, something happens to a mind of a fan, you just start geeking out, you just turn into an insane person, you just can’t figure out anything else to do. Then, work comes around and you got to forget all that fan stuff and it’s a whole different thing but you get the first 20 minutes to just be in awe.”

Aside from those hunks of steel, our guys weighed in on what Guy Candy lovers would appreciate about the film, aside from their own, lovely faces.

“When you see the whole thing play out — I was so pleasantly surprised by how funny it was,” Josh enthused. “You can’t just have a movie that’s all about just the intense action scenes and it could have gone one way and would of been just dramatic. But between Shia, Anthony Anderson, Bernie Mac — there’s just so many really funny parts in the movie that I don’t think people are gonna expect.”

“I think they’re gonna have a lot of reason,” Tyrese explained. “There’s nothing like finding joy in something that you don’t expect to find joy in. You know what I mean . . . You find yourself enjoying the effects. It is a man’s man movie but there is some sex appeal and there is some sexy things going on. Like I can’t wait for a woman to tell me that she fell in love with one of the robots. I don’t know, there’s something about Optimus Prime’s voice that just turned me on.”
