It’s tough to gain power, but in Season 2 of “Gotham,” Penguin is going to find out that keeping it is a greater challenge.
In this exclusive new featurette – “Gotham: The King” — watch as Executive Producer Danny Cannon and actor Robin Lord Taylor address the new threats coming Oswald Cobblepot’s way on Fox’s Monday night drama, “Gotham.”
“He spent all of Season 1 trying to get to this point. He’s achieved what he wants, the only thing is, you’re not always prepared for what’s ahead of you,” Robin says in the clip. “There’s always someone ready to take you down and so it’s pretty hairy right from the get-go.”

And the first, and potentially most dangerous villain to put Penguin in his sights is Theo Galavan, played by James Frain (“Orphan Black,” “True Blood,” “Grimm,” etc.).
“He’s just an amazing, amazing addition [to the show] and also, an amazing adversary to Oswald,” Robin told Access Hollywood ahead of last week’s Season 2 premiere. “It really gives Oswald something to push against.”

Theo was introduced in the premiere and he showed off a cool, calm and collected side at a city resignation event. His dark side, though, was revealed at home after he brought the Arkham Asylum prisoners to his abode, introduced them to his ruthless sister Tabitha (Jessica Lucas), and recruited them to join his team.
“Gotham” Season 2 continues Monday nights at 8/7c on Fox.
